Almeria is a trekker's paradise. There are hundreds of walks you can choose from here; walks that pass through nearly every type of landscape imaginable.

One popular route is the Sierra de Gador. Almería - Enix. It takes about 4 hours. The route starts off in Almeria, along the Fuenterrica quarter. From here the route heads upwards. As you ascend you'll find a fantastic view of Almeria below.

Along the way you'll pass through a variety of stunning contrasting landscapes; the mountains, the town, the Almerian beaches and the open valleys that are just a stones throw away from the Mediterranean Sea.

The highest point of the route takes you to an asphalted track, which passes through woodland and then eventually leads you to Enix.

There are walking routes all over the province; Sierra Nevada, Nijar, Sierra Alhamilla and Sierra de los Filabres.
