Huercal in Almeria is located in the Campo de Almeria, just north of the city. In specific periods of the year the road there is cut off by the crossing of the River Andarax.

Huércal de Almería is located in the Campo de Almeria, just north of the city. It stretches all the way across the Rio Andarax. It used to be part of the municipal area of Almeria up until the start of the 19th Century. Nowadays it's an important local industrial centre, where they produce: esparto grass, oranges, poultry and table grape.
