Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata: The largest coastal mountain range. It also makes up the most important group of volcanic mountains in Spain. It has 40 kms of coast with over a thousand different types of plants, also rich in wildlife.

Las Negras and San José
San José is a small fishing village located within a cove and surrounded by a pristine sandy beach with crystal clear blue waters. It has two ports; one for fishing and one for sports. Recently a number of tourist apartments and chalets have been built in order to cater for the increasing amount of visitors that arrive each year. It looks like tourism has finally discovered this charming part of Spain. More are sure to follow...

Los Escullos has a campsite with all modern facilities and a superb beach (although it's a bit pebbly).

Las Negras is located in a beautiful cove, suroounded by some stunning natural scenery. There are some fantastic beaches very close by.

Isleta del Moro used to be a small traditional fishing village. But as with many other villages in the natural park, tourism has arrived - now there are plenty of holiday homes here and more are expeted to be built. Property developers are extremely eager to exploit this beautiful untouched area.
